Fire ‘Cross the Sky

Short film

In August 1980 John Lennon could have called just about any bass player on Earth. He went with Tony Levin.

Tony Levin wrote a highly moving piece of music inspired by his time recording with John Lennon. His emotional poetry, combined with the moody tonality of the music, grabs hold of you and takes you to some magical place. When we got to imagine the visuals for this piece, we wanted to showcase the transportive nature of the music and lyrics. Taking you through 1980s New York City, across the zebra crossing at Abbey Road, and finally to Liverpool.
